The Studio at Dulles is holding our next Night Lights event on Sunday, April 25 starting at 5pm.  We will be featuring Rebecca Emma who will be visiting from upstate NY.   This is an opportunity to shoot in our studios one-on-one with Rebecca.  Lighting assistance is available.  Rebecca is available for Casual to swimwear modeling.  Rates include studio use and shooting time with Rebecca.

Class Offerings at The Studio at Dulles:

Introduction to Studio Photography

This class will be a 2 hour class providing the participant an introduction to using their Digital SLR camera in the studio using studio lighting to take photographs of people.

The class will provide the student with the following information and experience:
•    Background and overview of studio lighting
•    Camera / lighting interfaces
•    Controlling studio lighting with modifiers, soft boxes, reflectors, etc.
•    Working with your subject
•    Sample studio shoot with a model
•    Brief hands on use of the studio strobes with the model in a group environment.

Students should come to the class with their Digital SLR camera, camera user’s manual, paper and writing utensil.

Class size is limited to 6 photographers.

Students should have knowledge of their cameras manual setting.  Students need to be able to set  their ISO, White Balance, Aperture, and Shutter speed.

For those wanting a more slower paced introduction to your camera, studio lighting, and putting it all together in the studio can opt for a three class series (total of 6 hours – 2 hours each class).

Providing 3 classes to assist beginning photographers and “new to studio” photographers in using the new studio space.

Class 1 – Introduction to your DSLR:  Getting off Automatic
Class 2 – Introduction to Studio Photography – What is all this stuff?
Class 3 – Studio Lighting – How many lights does it take?
